Here are some of the frequently asked questions about Echo.

a) Who is Rana Uppalapati?

Rana is a second-generation Titan business associate and an international skater. In the past, he has skated from Mumbai to Goa, and Visakhapatnam to Bhubaneshwar to raise awareness towards social causes.

b) What is Titan ECHO?

Titan ECHO (Educate to Carry Her Onwards) is a company-wide program being conducted for the girl child. Rana will skate the Indian Golden Quadrilateral (6,000 kms) in 90 days to raise funds for the education of girl children and raise awareness amongst 6 lakh people about child safety, and reach out to 6 lakh children through our partnership with CII-Young Indians.

c) Who are we partnering with?

The benefiting organisations are our ongoing CSR partners: K.C. Mahindra Education Trust (for Project Nanhi Kali), Mumbai, and IIMPact, Delhi.

Project "Nanhi Kali" initiated in 1996 by Mr. Anand Mahindra at the K.C. Mahindra Education Trust is India’s largest project that enables girls to complete 10 years of schooling by supporting them with extensive academic and material support while enabling a conducive girl-friendly ecosystem around them. The purpose of the project is to curtail the high dropout rate prevalent amongst school girls in India, while ensuring that girls attend school with dignity and attain quality education. Since 2005, the project has been jointly managed by the K.C. Mahindra Education Trust and Naandi Foundation.

IIMPACT seeks to address the cause of girl-child education in rural, backward and under-privileged parts of India without any biases towards their religion, caste, community and social standing. Their mission is to mobilize and motivate pre-teen, non-school-going girls, from socially and economically backward areas in India, and put them firmly on the track to functional literacy through quality primary education.

d) How do we contribute?

Payments can be both online through this website, and offline through cheques or DDs. More details here.

e) Are we associating with other patners for ECHO?

Yes. Titan is associating with CII-Young Indians on their Project "Masoom" which talks about child safety. CII-YI and Titan will carry out 6,000 sessions for children on "good touch and bad touch" as part of ECHO.

f) Is there a campaign hashtag??

Yes. The hashtag for the program is #ForHer. Every individual who wants to share an update on the program can use #ForHer. In addition, you can follow Rana's journey on social media platforms. The details and videos will be shared with anyone who logs on to the site for the period of the journey.

g) Is running/cycling/skating allowed as part of ECHO?

No. Owing to the nature of the program, this will not be encouraged.

h) Are we partnering with a logistic company to man the on route management?

Yes. Titan is partnering with a foremost sports management company called You Too Can Run, Mumbai. YTCR will manage the health and safety of the skater Rana and also on-route management. YTCR has organized many professional runs and also crewed for Michelle Kakade.

i) What are the events planned as part of the program?

From 89 locations, 22 hotspots have been selected from the route.

j) Is there an e-mail id for queries and clarifications?

Yes. All queries and clarifications are to be directed to echo@titan.co.in.

k) Is there salary deduction for Titan Employees?

Yes. Please await an internal communication from Team ECHO

l) How will be the funds be utilized? Will specific locations be considered?

The funds will be utilized to support the Education of the Girl child in specific locations. As it is a pan-India initiative, no particular location is given preference. Rest assured, our partners follow a systematic process on their respective Girl child program.
